This event is part of the new series ZUKUNFT IST JETZT (EN: FUTURE IS NOW), presented in cooperation with Klimabündnis and Klima-Aktion Karlsruhe. A total of 14 events - readings, theater, dance, circus, performance - provide forward-looking impulses on current topics.
All performances are also suitable for English speakers (either presented in English or with English subtitles, see info in each event).

The artistic-participatory workshop “Hello Neighbours” invites participants to encounter plants, animals, insects, and fungi in new ways. Through guided exercises, participants first get to know another species individually as a neighbour, and then share their observations with the group. No prior knowledge is required. Open, playful, and suitable for children (accompanied by a parent). The workshop takes place outdoors.
“Hello Neighbours” encourages people to see themselves as part of a larger ecological community and to recognise other living beings as neighbours. Without a shared language, getting to know one another requires all the senses, unconventional forms of relating, observation, and patience.
“Hello Neighbours” has already been invited to arts festivals and venues in Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Argentina.
